Code of Conduct
How we do business, and treat each other.
Our Code of Conduct puts our values into practice. It holds everyone at Symph, including contractors and consultants, to the same standard of ethical business conduct.
Act with integrity
We protect the privacy and security of the information clients and their users share with us, and we access it only as our security and privacy practices allow.
Support each other
Employment at Symph is based on merit. We prohibit discrimination, harassment, and bullying in any form. We keep a violence-free workplace, and we don’t tolerate substance use that puts anyone’s safety or work at risk.
Avoid conflicts of interest
We steer clear of situations where personal interest competes with Symph’s or a client’s, including outside roles with competitors, investments that sway our judgment, and gifts or entertainment that could look like influence. When in doubt, we disclose and check first.
Compete fairly
We follow competition law. We don’t fix prices, rig bids, allocate markets, or share competitively sensitive information with competitors. We compete on the quality of our work.
Refuse bribery
We don't bribe anyone, anytime, for any reason. That covers cash, gifts, entertainment, and favours, and it applies with extra care to government officials, where even political or charitable contributions can count as a bribe. As a company, Symph stays politically neutral and makes no political contributions to win advantage.
Keep confidences and protect what we build
We safeguard confidential information, our own and our partners’, handle it on a need-to-know basis under signed agreements, and respect the intellectual property of others, including open-source licences.
Keep our finances honest
We record transactions accurately, never falsify records, spend company money responsibly, and choose suppliers on competitive bids and merit.
Speak up, no retaliation
If something looks wrong, we raise it. Symph prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports a concern or takes part in an investigation.
