Default to transparency. Share in public channels so the team stays informed.

Make it easy to focus. Use threads or targeted channels to keep conversations on-topic.

Respect everyone's time. Keep messages direct & concise.

Write things down. Document key decisions and updates for easy reference.

Hop on a call for urgent or complex matters. Text can't always capture the full context.

Expectations

Respond to critical messages within the day (non-urgent not later than the next day)

Default to public discussions and only use DMs for sensitive issues

Provide context and background so everyone can engage meaningfully

Proofread for clarity and tone before hitting send

Turn on video for calls when possible to maximize connection

Assume positive intent and strive for mutual understanding
