Labor, Human Rights & Wellbeing
Everyone here works freely and is treated fairly.

Everyone who works at Symph does so freely and is treated fairly.

Fair pay and benefits

Pay and benefits follow the Philippine Labor Code, and in practice we go past the floor it sets: 13th and 14th month pay, a mid-year bonus, HMO for you and a dependent, and a monthly internet subsidy for remote work. Statutory coverage (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and paid leave are all there. The full list lives in Sympher Benefits.

Freely chosen work

We use no forced, bonded, or compulsory labor. We don’t employ children, and everyone we hire meets the legal minimum working age. We ask the same of our partners.

Freedom of association

We respect every Sympher’s right to organise and to raise concerns together, as recognised under Philippine law, and we don’t retaliate against anyone for speaking up.

Health, safety, and wellbeing

We’re remote-first, and we put real money behind wellbeing. HMO covers you and a dependent, and everyone takes an annual physical. Mental health is treated like health: Empath consultations you can book anytime, and mental-health leaves that don’t touch your leave credits. There’s a monthly wellness budget for the gym or whatever keeps you well. Our Code of Conduct keeps the workplace violence-free and free of substance use that risks anyone’s safety, and our Safe Space and Inclusion policies protect people from harassment and discrimination. When we gather in person we book venues that already meet local safety standards.
